From Chorus Life to the Cagliari stadium: Costim’s turnover is growing

by admin

The latest agreement, as general contractor, was concluded in early May: two years (2022-2024), to build the new state-of-the-art and sustainable Cagliari stadium, with estimated investments of 70 million euros. And then the intention remains to cut the ribbon of Chorus Life – the new smart district of Bergamo, a replicable service platform – for September 2022.

The bills

Costim – the industrial group founded in 2019 by Domenico Bosatelli and Francesco Percassi, consists of three subsidiaries. Impresa Percassi (general contractor in private civil construction), Elmet (maintenance, facility management, global service and integrated digital services) and Gualini (design and construction of building envelopes) – closed 2020 with 215.7 million of euro of aggregate turnover, a result higher than forecasts of + 12% (+22.3 million euro) and an average Ebitda of 3.4% (equal to 7.4 million euro). And for 2021, Costim’s forecasts give a further step in estimated aggregate turnover higher than 25% compared to this year.

«We have achieved a very positive consolidated result – explained the CEO Jacopo Palermo – in addition to the revision of the forecasts made due to the pandemic, also thanks to the good backlog coverage that allowed us to proceed quickly on the projects. In the weeks of forced stop, we worked on design, procurement and supported the supply chain with financial support and payment plans. For 2021 we estimate a + 25% of aggregate turnover over 2020, over 270 million euros of revenues for the Group ».

The projects

Nationally, Costim has a Group backlog of over 500 million (including Palazzo Cordusio in Milan for Generali Real Estate, the Biomedical Campus in Rome, the Milano City Village and the new Cagliari stadium).

As Palermo explained, “Chorus Life – 30 thousand square meters of greenery, 80 residences, an area dedicated to wellness, a 110-room hotel and an arena that will host up to 5 thousand seats, in addition to commercial galleries and catering spaces – is an urban regeneration project that puts the Real Estate component into a system with a platform of digital services. The novelty lies in having shifted attention from the square meter to the system of services for the user. It is the construction that serves the platform. With vertical applications ranging from online hotel check-in to digital maintenance, from parking bookings to housekeepers and babysitters. And the horizontal platform that offers services according to the position in which you are inside the area ».
