From North to South, to the Christmas markets on board the historic trains

Traveling on historic trains to reach the traditional Christmas markets in the most beautiful villages in Italy, from North to South. It is the gift that Foundation Fs offers to all Italian fans in view of the upcoming holidays. Here is the program.

The itineraries

Sunday 19th December, a historic train pulled by an electric locomotive will leave at 9.30 from the station of Milano Centrale towards Trento and Bolzano. Intermediate stops are foreseen in Bergamo (10.15) and Brescia (10.55). The arrival in Trento is scheduled for 12.18, while those who continue to Bolzano will arrive at their destination at 12.55.

Also on Sunday 19 December from the station Central Naples, at 9.30 am, 12.20 pm and 3.15 pm, the historic Pietrarsa Express train will leave for the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa. Once at their destination, travelers will be able to visit the markets set up inside and participate in the entertainment activities offered by the Museum. The Pietrarsa Express will also travel Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 December, with departures from Naples at 10 am and arrival at the Pietrarsa Museum at 10.36 am.

Yet, Sunday 19 December at 9 am it will leave from the station of Sulmona (L’Aqulia) a tourist train, consisting of ALn668 railcars in historical livery, bound for Rieti (arrival at 10.55), where a guided tour of the historic center is scheduled. At 13.55 the train will leave for Greccio from where travelers can reach the village by shuttle bus.

For all weekends of the month of December and up to next January 6th, again from Sulmona, the historic trains of the Ferrovia dei Parchi direct to Campo di Giove, Roccaraso and Castel di Sangro to visit the Christmas markets.
