Generali remains under the analysts’ lens following the publication of the quarterly accounts and the conference call. Equita experts confirm the hold recommendation on the Trieste insurance group’s stock but raise the target price by 3% to 19 euros. Among the feedback from the call Equita focused on the “solid trend in asset management and the good performance of the new business margin”.
“The first quarter 2021 results provided good indications on the growth trajectory of asset management and on Generali’s ability to defend profitability in Life despite an interest rate environment that remains unfavorable and continues to remain a headwind for the stock”, underline analysts who have revised upwards the 2021-23 estimates by 3% on average (for the period 2021-2022-2023 Eps is seen at 1.82 euros, 1.84 euros and 1.90 euros respectively.
