At the recent WWDC22 conference, Apple launched the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro (13-inch), both models are equipped with M2 processors. Among them, MBP is scheduled to start booking at 20:00 this Friday, and it will be officially released on the 24th, with a starting price of 9999 yuan.
Before that, the whistleblower shared the performance scores of the M2 chip (MBP).
In GeekBench 5,The main frequency of the M2 is 3.49GHz, the single-core score is 1919, and the multi-core score is 8928.
Compared with the MBP of the M1 model, the main frequency is increased by 9%, the single core is increased by 12%, and the multi-core is increased by 20%. Previously, Apple said that the M2 was 18% faster than the M1, which seemed to be in line with expectations.
In terms of GPU, the Metal score of M2 is 30627. Compared with the GPU running score of M1, it is at least 46%, and the highest can reach 67%. After all, the M2 is a 10-core GPU, and the M1 is only a maximum of 8 cores.
Of course, the M2’s GPU benchmarks are a little bit better than the 14-core M1 Pro, but they are significantly stronger than the Core i7-12800H’s core display (96EU).
It is reported that at the architectural level, the M2 is completely a replica of the A15, but thanks to TSMC’s second-generation 5nm (N5P), larger memory bandwidth, etc., the performance release is more violent.
