This afternoon, at the Next Beat conference of Huami Technology, the founder and CEO of Huami Technology debuted and took the lead in reviewing the road of Huami’s self-developed chips.

In 2015, Huami Technology began to lay out the upstream and downstream chip industry. In 18 years, it invested in SiFive, which invented the RISC-V open source instruction set.In September of the same year, Huami independently developed the first artificial intelligence chip Huangshan No. 1 in the global smart wearable field. In June 20, it updated the Huangshan No. 2 with superior performance and power consumption.

Today, the new generation of wearable chip Huangshan 2S officially unveiled. It is reported that this is the first wearable artificial intelligence processor with dual-core RISC-V architecture. The ultra-powerful core computing performance can support high-load calculations such as graphics and UI operations. The large-core system also integrates FPU to support floating-point operations.

Compared with Huangshan No. 2, the computing power of Huangshan 2S is increased by 18%, operating power consumption is reduced by 56%, and sleep power consumption is reduced by 93%.

Huangshan 2S chip also integrates a 2.5D GPU for the first time, which can increase the graphics acceleration performance by 67% compared to Huangshan 2.

In addition, equipped with a convolutional neural network acceleration processing unit can quickly identify the type of disease, taking atrial fibrillation as an example, the recognition speed is 26 times that of pure software calculation.

It is reported that,Huangshan 2S has been successfully taped out in March this year and will become one of the core chips of the third-generation Amazfit smartwatch.
