NEW YORK – Since yesterday the agreement between 136 nations on the global minimum tax to 15% has been made, to reduce the tax avoidance of multinationals. Now the hardest part begins: applying it. Both the Biden Administration and the major European states, which have managed to break the last resistance of Ireland, Estonia, Hungary, are celebrating victory. Further political support for the agreement is expected at the next G20 which will be held at the end of the month in Rome under the presidency of Mario Draghi.
