On August 30, Inke released the 2021 interim results financial report. The financial report shows that as of June 30, 2021, Inke’s revenue was 4.03 billion yuan, an increase of 83.1% from 2.02 billion yuan in the same period in 2020; during the same period, net profit reached 140 million yuan, compared with 73.2 million in the same period in 2020. Among them, in the first half of 2021, Inke’s social product matrix business achieved revenue of 2.697 billion yuan, accounting for 66.7% of the total revenue during the reporting period.

In terms of cost of sales, Inke’s cost of sales in the first half of 2021 was RMB 2.625.5 billion, an increase of 52.8% from RMB 1.7184 billion in the same period last year. Among them, the percentage of cost of sales to revenue has dropped from 78% in the same period in 2020 to 65.1%. In this regard, Inke stated in its financial report that it was mainly due to the stabilization of the company’s new product sharing policy, which led to a decline in the proportion of sharing costs.

In terms of gross profit, Inke’s gross profit margin reached 34.9% in the first half of 2021, an increase of 12.9 percentage points from 22% in the same period in 2020.

In terms of monthly active users, as of June 30, 2021, Inke’s average monthly active users reached 46.43 million, an increase of 40.8% from 32.97 million in the same period in 2020.

On August 27 this year, the China Internet Network Information Center released the 48th “Statistical Report on China’s Internet Development Status”. The report shows that the number of Internet users in my country has exceeded the 1 billion mark. As of the end of June, the number of short video users in my country reached 888 million, accounting for 87.8% of the number of netizens; the number of users of webcasting reached 638 million, a year-on-year increase of 75.39 million, accounting for 63.1% of the total number of netizens.

With the continuous growth of live broadcast users, the live broadcast industry has entered a period of accelerated reshuffle. For the following platforms that lack differentiated competitive advantages and weak hematopoietic capabilities, they are facing the crisis of being eliminated one after another, and capital is further concentrated on top platforms. In 2019, Inke Group clarified the strategic layout of social product matrix centering on the two cores of “interactive entertainment + social”.

In the long term, the proportion of Inke’s social product matrix in the group’s total revenue has increased year by year, from 14% in 2019 to 41.8% in 2020, and then to 66.7% in the first half of 2021. This shows that Inke has transformed from a single live broadcast product to an interactive social product platform.
