In the real estate market, the growing interest in smaller municipalities is confirmed, where it is possible to buy a larger house at lower prices. According to the latest data on real estate sales issued by the Revenue Agency, in the first nine months of 2021 the sales of the provincial capitals increased by 36.1% compared to the same period in 2020 and by 13.4% compared to 2019. But they have Non-capital municipalities performed better, with much more significant growth: + 46.6% compared to the first months of 2020 and + 28% compared to the same period in 2019.

These figures highlight the more than flattering results achieved by the smaller municipalities which are demonstrating a good liveliness thanks to lower prices and the housing offer more in line with the current needs expressed by demand. A trend that is also confirmed by the Tecnocasa research office, according to which in the first part of the year there is an outflow of buyers from the metropolis towards the provincial capitals of the same region and not and, above all, towards the hinterland of the same metropolis. .

Milan is one of the cities that has seen a greater percentage increase in outflows towards the hinterland and other provinces. The Milanese are attracted to a greater extent by the province of Monza Brianza, followed by that of Pavia. Also several municipalities of the first belt, including Peschiera Borromeo, record a good response from those who live in Milan.
