The e: HEV hybrid system provides three automatically interchangeable driving modes according to needs. To maximize efficiency, HR-V disables electric mode by switching to hybrid mode when the engine requires high torque, while the petrol engine runs at constant and higher speeds. The Sport, Normal and Eco modes fulfill different needs, while an additional B mode can be selected from the gearbox, to increase the incidence of regenerative braking and obtain a Full Electric experience. To increase driving versatility, the level of energy regeneration and the deceleration force can be adjusted according to the driver’s preferences using the special selector located behind the steering wheel. Improved aerodynamics: the air vent on the front bumper, the side sill and the elegant shape of the rear lights help to reduce turbulence, also supported by the spoiler on the tailgate. The ground clearance has been increased by 10mm, the roofline lowered by 20mm compared to the previous model, and the front overhang decreased. For better visibility, the driving position has been raised by 10 mm and the design of the windows, the horizontal design of the dashboard and the flat line of the bonnet have been redesigned. The side mirrors have been lowered to improve visibility when cornering. The aim is to facilitate the entry of light into the passenger compartment and improve visibility to the outside. Seat comfort with a new generation of front seats that replace the previous ones, equipped with a spring structure, and stabilize the body to offer more space for legs (35 mm) and shoulders. The central position of the tank and the clever arrangement of the hybrid components give the seats two degrees more tilt than the previous generation HR-V. The 9 “LCD touch interface is intuitive, with simplified and customizable menus. The new Adaptive Cruise Control with distance maintenance at low speed improves safety when changing lanes and overtaking. The Blind Spot Information function uses technology radar to automatically detect vehicles in the driver’s blind spot, warning him with a symbol in the side mirror. The detection distance has increased from 3 to 25 meters to increase the confidence and safety of the driver. The monitoring system has also been improved. approaching traffic with rear radar sensors that during reversing warn the driver of possible approaches of vehicles from the right or left, with audio and visual signals. In addition, the Hill Descent Control function, offers greater control on slippery and steep surfaces to increase safety in a series of critical conditions.
