Hotels, the Lindbergh chain relaunches on charm and luxury

by admin

The key points

  • The group
  • The program
  • The strategy

“Let’s look beyond the pandemic, Lindbergh Hotels wants to invest in 2022, with acquisitions and a new model of accessible luxury, “he comments Nardo Filippetti, founder and president of the hospitality network. Lindbergh Hotels now own 7 accommodation facilities (4 or 5 stars) for 831 rooms between Sicily, Sardinia, Marche, Emilia Romagna and Umbria, for a turnover of over 23 million euros pre Covid and 16.5 million in 2021.

«The key point is that in the meantime tourism has changed as well as the needs of travelers who, in addition to paying more and more attention to the environment, require quality, services and even flexibility – emphasizes Filippetti -. And it is in this direction that the group is moving thanks to a development plan that includes major investments in digitization and sustainability, to propose ever higher quality standards ».

Filippetti points out that despite the difficulties generated by the health emergency, Lindbergh wants to grow so much that he has taken over two other important hotels between Pesaro e Rimini for an overall investment which, once the renovation and redevelopment works have been completed, will exceed i 20 million euros.

“In Pesaro we bought theHotel Cruiser that is the largest accommodation facility in the city with over 120 rooms: a building overlooking the sea located in a strategic position between the seafront and the historic center which, once started, will produce significant economies of scale – continues Filippetti -. In my opinion, in fact, small structures will find it increasingly difficult to compete in the tourist market. In Marina Centro di Rimini, on the other hand, we took over an accommodation facility, theHotel Naiade, to launch a new line of very innovative hotels characterized by high-level comfort and quality housing, equipped with important and highly digitized technologies, to guarantee customers the standards of a 4 or 5 star hotel but at lower prices. The goal is to open it in 2022. I like to underline, also because I repeat it is a factor that is increasingly taken into consideration by our guests, that the important investments made will make it possible to build two hotels with almost zero energy consumption “. «We are evaluating – adds Filippetti – also various bargains in big cities, such as Rome, Milan or others, to open gods boutique hotel: luxury accommodation facilities with a maximum of 40/50 rooms and top-level services because we believe we have an important culture in the management of 5-star hotels. We have started many projects and investments and we have others planned. For now let’s go on with our strength but we are open to strengthening synergies with large groups and investment funds with the aim of accelerating the development policies of our group, consequently generating greater growth and economic repercussions in favor of all related industries ».

A little historical reconstruction. In 2018 Nardo Filippetti accepts the offer of Drums Investment Partners for the acquisition of Eden Travel, which is sold to Alpitour (Tip reference shareholder partner) and keeps the internal software house for himself, led by his son Marco and the hotel chain Eden Hotels, which at the time has a value of 25 million euros, 600 employees and accommodation facilities in Pesaro, Sicily, Sardinia, Umbria. In the autumn of the same year, the Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts brand was baptized. Today I am 7 hotels, 4 and 5 stars, managed by Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts: the 5-star Boutique Hotel Excelsior Congress SPA & Lido and the 4-star Nautilus Family Hotel in the Marche region (the tallest wooden building in Europe built in green building); La Meridiana Urban Hotel in Perugia; the 5-star luxury Grand Hotel San Pietro in Taormina, the Sikania Resort & SPA in Marina di Butera, the Modica Beach Resort in Marina di Modica and the Cala della Torre Resort in Siniscola.
