by admin

Hyundai introduces in Italy the new Kona, completely renewed and able to offer the widest electrified proposal among the B segment SUVs thanks to the mild-hybrid, full hybrid and 100% electric engines. New Kona presents several innovations, starting with an even more daring exterior design combined with an adventurous personality. The interiors are designed to express a more refined and innovative look that gives the car a higher level of perceived quality, to which is added a technological evolution in terms of connectivity, safety and comfort. In addition, for the first time the Hyundai compact SUV presents the sporty N Line trim that combines driving fun with dynamic style. Kona has been a success story for Hyundai since launch. In three years, the first compact SUV of the Korean company has become one of the most popular Hyundai models: since September 2017, about 230,000 units have been sold in Europe, of which almost 34,000 in Italy. In the range of electrified engines, in addition to the 100% electric and full hybrid version, the 48-volt light hybrid system makes its debut on the model. This technology is applied to the 120hp 1.0-liter Smartstream T-Gdi petrol engine combined with the 6iMT six-speed intelligent gearbox with the aim of ensuring greater efficiency and the 136hp 1.6-liter Smartstream Diesel engine available with the 6iMt gearbox and with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (7Dct), the latter also offered with 4wd all-wheel drive. With an offer that ranges between five engines and three different types of transmission, the new Kona is offered in three trim levels, XTech, XLine and NLine, with a price list starting at 22,000 euros.
