Ibarra leaves Sky to drive Engineering

by admin

MILANO – Maximo Ibarra has resigned from Sky Italia and is about to sign the contract to become CEO and shareholder of Engineering. The manager had been selected by the shareholder funds at the beginning of January, but before deciding to change his shirt he had wanted to complete the work started in Sky. After the game of TV rights of Serie A football (awarded to Dazn) and that of the reorganization of the group, which led to a trade union agreement for voluntary exits on a quarter of the staff, Ibarra decided to change his shirt.

Moreover, when we learn from well-informed sources, the CEO of Engeeniering, who made the information technology company great, has already started a new career path. Pending the handover, the current CEO of Engineering, Paolo Pandozzy, would have joined the board of directors of Angelo Holding, the company that controls Mermec spa, a railway infrastructure company headed by the Apulian entrepreneur Vito Pertosa.

Ibarra together with the Bain capital funds and NB Renaissance Partners, of the Neuberger Berman group, has important projects for the relaunch of the group and expects to make Engineering one of the key partners to help Italian companies in the migration to digital.
