Ice-Amazon agreement, support for Italian SMEs also in Japan and the United Arab Emirates

by admin

The Amazon showcase dedicated to the Made in Italy products of thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises faces two new markets: Japan and the United Arab Emirates. The agreement between Ice (the Institute for Foreign Trade) and Amazon has been renewed to encourage the training and distribution via e-commerce of Made in Italy products produced by thousands of Italian SMEs, which, without support, would hardly have approached the digital sales.

The offer

Inside the showcase – with a selection already available, respectively, of over 85 thousand for Japan and about 30 thousand Made in Italy products for the Emirates – new Japanese and Emirati customers can find products from all over Italy, with the possibility to discover 10 regional routes dedicated to as many regions as Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Campania, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia. Over 10% of the selection on Amazon Made in Italy is present in the “home and furniture” (design) category, over 30% in “clothes and accessories” (fashion), about 10% in “kitchen and cellar” ( food). The showcase is already available in Amazon stores in Europe and the United States (Amazon.it, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.es and Amazon.com), and is inaugurated today also for Japanese and Emirati customers on Amazon.co.jp (Japan) and Amazon.ae (United Arab Emirates) stores.
