Volkswagen reinvents the station wagon in an electric format. In fact, the Id.7 Tourer makes its debut, the ideal heir of the legendary Passat Variant which however adopts the Tourer name, never used by the German brand Volkswagen. Derived from the Id.7 sedan, the lithium-ion family car retains the same dimensions as it is 4.96 meters long, 1.86 meters wide, 1.54 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.97 metres.

Furthermore, it too has an equally aerodynamic line and a slender silhouette, despite having a tail designed by the longer pavilion to which a less inclined tailgate is connected. The combination results in a large loading area, the capacity of which ranges from 545 to 1,714 litres.

The size of the boot does not limit that of the passenger compartment, so much so that even the rear passengers can stretch out their legs. The interior design of the Tourer follows that of the sedan and offers the same digitalisation, made up of the small instrument display which provides only essential information since the others are reproduced in the head up display with augmented reality (standard) and the 15 ” of infotainment, which integrates the Ida personal assistant supported by ChatGpt artificial intelligence.

The Tourer debuts with the Pro version powered by the sedan’s powertrain with 286 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque powered by a 77 kWh battery, which promises a range of 620 kilometers and which recharges in half an hour from 10 to 80% with systems up to 175 kW. In some time the Pro S will be added with an 86 kWh battery which pushes the autonomy to 690 kilometers and can also be recharged in half an hour from 10 to 80% with systems up to 200 kW.
