In 2022, Italians want to make plans and travel: it will be the year of renewed trust

The pandemic has brought enormous changes, also in purchasing habits, increasingly influenced by offers and discounts, but finally the desire to make plans is reborn (almost 9 out of 10 have some in the pipeline), above all that of resuming travel. Despite the ups and downs, about 1 in 2 Italians say they are more confident than last year, especially for the country’s economy.
And the real desire that brings together about 7 out of 10 Italians is the end of the pandemic. This is what emerges from the latest edition of the Compass Observatory, the research dedicated to the expectations of consumers and merchants for 2022, conducted by the consumer credit company of the Mediobanca Group.

To support the desires and spending possibilities of Italians, there is always consumer credit, a crucial tool for the real economy of the country. Since 2015, the volume of loans disbursed had never been higher (€ 12 billion in the first half of 2021).
