ROME (ITALPRESS) – In the first quarter of 2021, Istat estimates that the seasonally adjusted index of the turnover of services increases by 0.6% compared to the previous quarter and that the raw index registers an increase, on an annual basis, of 1, 6%. The index of the turnover of services in the first quarter of 2021 shows a cyclical recovery in most sectors. The greatest increases are highlighted for the transport and warehousing sector (+ 3.5%) and for that of travel agencies and business support services (+ 3.4%). Smaller increases were recorded in the professional, scientific and technical activities sector (+ 0.8%), in the information and communication services sector (+ 0.7%) and in the wholesale, trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+ 0.6%). On the other hand, a sharp decline characterizes the activities of accommodation and catering services (-15.9%). In trend terms, in the first quarter of 2021 the turnover index is growing in the sectors of wholesale, trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+ 7.8%), professional, scientific and technical activities (+5, 1%) and information and communication services (+ 1.4%). On the other hand, the activities of accommodation and catering services (-44.8%), transport and storage (-8.1%) and travel agencies and business support services (-7.9 %).
