Industry fears end to dismantling

This is the initial situation in which, to put it simply, two interest groups have been facing each other for several years: On the one hand, those who are primarily concerned with climate protection and want to rewet moors. On the other hand, there are entrepreneurs and their employees, some of whom have been working for decades in an industry that is increasingly falling into disrepute. And who is now worried, not entirely unjustified, that they will soon no longer be able to pursue their jobs. The fate of peat miners is therefore similar to that of lignite miners, whose activities will also change dramatically in times of climate change – or even disappear completely.
