ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Industry 4.0: the revolution runs with 5G” is the title of the online event promoted by FOR (Ottimisti & Razionali Foundation) and by Inwit for a debate on the topic of 5G with particular reference to the value it constitutes for Industry 4.0, for the organization of work and for the production cycle. During the event, Claudio Velardi, president of FOR, explained that the online meeting was included in a series of organized events “to try to spread the culture of 5G, therefore the need, the need for it to be done quickly, that an advanced and performing technological network is created, such as that of 5G, which puts us in a position to keep up with the needs, which were very strong when we started talking about them – he said – and after the pandemic they become a hundred times more so “. “5G certainly represents a real technological revolution”, underlined Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, who also spoke about the NRP and the upcoming resources. “We have at our disposal – he highlighted – great economic resources, to be exploited to support the digital transition which, with high-tech investments, will be fundamental for industry 4.0”. For the deputy minister, 5G “will allow the creation of broadband networks in areas not covered by optical fiber, resulting in undoubted benefits”. It is therefore necessary “not to waste time in creating procedures, organization and management in safety which are essential to be winning, driving and not being driven”. Martina Nardi, president of the Chamber’s Commission for Productive Activities, Commerce and Tourism, asked the question about how to imagine the future and “when it will really enter our life”. “The future does not stop”, underlined Nardi, but we can “try to build ways to put it on the ground in a more democratic and easier way. It is already here that he speaks very clearly”. “We – he said – have the task of governing this great epochal change in society, also with respect to the expectations of companies and people, because there is an increasing demand to find answers online”. “We started as leaders on the topic of 5G – highlighted Luca Carabetta, member of the Chamber’s Productive Activities Commission -, through the pilot projects we were the leader in the world.
