Insurance: Swiss Re estimates economic losses from catastrophes of 77 billion in the first half of the year

Economic losses due to natural disasters and catastrophes on a global scale are estimated at 77 billion dollars in the first part of 2021. This is the figure pitted today by the big Swiss active in the reinsurance sector, Swiss Re. The figure is down by 33% compared to in the first part of 2020, when the losses amounted to 114 billion.
