At present, carbon neutrality has become a global consensus, and renewable energy represented by photovoltaics and wind energy is undoubtedly the main force. This year’s two sessions, Liu Hanyuan, deputy to the National People’s Congress and chairman of the board of directors of Tongwei Group, put forward relevant suggestions on promoting the sustainable and healthy development of renewable energy and helping to effectively implement the “dual carbon” goal. The reporter of “Daily Economic News” interviewed Liu Hanyuan. In his opinion, the general trend of the photovoltaic industry in the future is still to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

“In recent years, with the continuous expansion of the industrial scale, the continuous acceleration of technological iterative upgrades, and the rapid promotion of intelligent manufacturing, the cost of photovoltaic power generation has dropped by more than 90%. At the same time, the cost of photovoltaic power generation in my country has also been greatly reduced, and so far has dropped to 0.3 RMB/kWh.” Liu Hanyuan said that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, it will drop to below 0.25 yuan/kWh, and the cost of photovoltaic power generation will be lower than most coal-fired power. If further considering the ecological environment cost, the advantages of photovoltaic power generation will be more obvious. In the future, the cost of photovoltaic power generation will be further reduced, while the environmental cost and emission cost of fossil energy will also rise.
