Dazn makes peace with the Antitrust with a 10 euro voucher for subscribers who cannot pause their subscription. A problem that concerns those who have activated pay TV online through “third party payment providers” such as Amazon or Apple.
In fact, Dazn users can pause their subscription for up to four months without paying anything and with the possibility of resuming viewing at any time. Only then reactivating the payment.
However, for the Antitrust Authority, the right of suspension cannot be exercised by subscribers through third parties. The competition authority, in fact, suspected that there was discrimination to the detriment of these specific customers.
A clutch on which Dazn and the Antitrust have reached an agreement by agreeing that those who activated the subscription through Amazon or Apple – unable to suspend it – will have a gift code of 5 euros per month for a maximum of two months. In other words, he can receive a discount of 10 euros.
Dazn must now promptly inform users of this discount option.
In general, however, the pause in the subscription can be activated when paying by credit card or Paypal. You need to access the “My Account” page and then choose “Pause and suspend payment”
and finally by entering the date of reactivation and confirmation.
