Istat: average hourly wages up 0.6% in June

At the end of June, the 34 national collective agreements in force for the economic part concern 41.3% of employees – approximately 5.1 million – and correspond to 42.1% of the total salary. Thus reveals Istat according to which the contracts that, at the end of June 2021, are pending renewal, drop to 39 and involve about 7.3 million employees (58.7% of the total), almost 2.5 million fewer compared to the figure at the end of March; they concern 57.9% of the total salary.
The average renewal waiting time for workers with an expired contract, between June 2020 and June 2021, increased both for workers with an expired contract (from 16.6 to 28.1 months), and for all employees ( 13.7 to 16.5 months). The average hourly wage, compared to the second quarter of 2020, grew by 0.6%.
The hourly contractual wages index also increased: by 0.2% compared to May 2021 and by 0.6% compared to June 2020.
