MILANO – Slight drop for the employed in April. According to the data released today byState the figure fell by 12 thousand units compared to March while it remains up by 670 thousand units on April 2021, remaining above 23 million (to 23,021,000). The rate falls to 8.4%, decreasing by 0.1 points compared to April and by 1.8 points compared to April 2021. On a monthly basis, unemployed women increase (+ 22 thousand) while unemployed men decrease (-39 thousand) . Looking at the data by gender, the divergence between men and women stands out. If the former grow among the employed (+ 31 thousand), women are in decided case (-43 thousand). In the same way, the dynamics of the unemployment rate also take different paths, while that of women rises to 9.6% (+0.2 points), that of men falls to 7.4% (-0.3 points).
