Italy: services recovery accelerates in July with the strongest growth in 14 years

According to the latest PMI data collected in July, the Italian services sector recorded the strongest growth in the last 14 years, thanks to the easing of restrictions from Covid-19 and the return of international travel that have increased demand from of customers. The SME services index, calculated by IHS Markit, went from 56.7 in June to 58 in July, signaling a third consecutive monthly recovery of Italian tertiary production, the strongest recorded since July 2007.
