Italy joins the US in the proposal for a global minimum rate. “I welcome the proposal made by the US Treasury to introduce a global minimum tax rate of at least 15%. This is another important step towards an agreement on the new international tax architecture ”, said the Minister of Economy and Finance, Daniele Franco, regarding the discussion on the introduction of an international minimum tax rate.
“Technical discussions at the OECD are progressing well and the prospect of reaching a comprehensive and consensus-based solution on the two pillars of international tax reform is now concrete. As the G20 Presidency, we are making every effort to ensure a political agreement is reached at the July G20 meeting in Venice, ”adds the minister.
