Itelyum points to the South and acquires the Apulian Castiglia, a historic company from Massafra, in the province of Taranto. Currently Itelyum – national leader and international player in the management, recycling and valorisation of industrial waste – through the group’s plants, manages a total of over 1 million tons of special waste, generating revenues of approximately 400 million euros. The company, which has its headquarters in Pieve Fissaraga, in the province of Lodi, has over 700 employees and 23 operating sites.

Castiglia has been operating for 20 years in the sectors of sustainable management of sludge deriving from water treatment and purification and high value-added services for large industry, including management and maintenance of water networks and aqueduct systems, demolition, reclamation, remediation and revamping of industrial plants, and port environmental services. The company, with over 120 employees and a modern storage and treatment plant that today manages 45 thousand t / year of waste, is currently being expanded and already authorized for 90 thousand t / year. It has a fleet of more than 200 dedicated vehicles and machinery and offers services in the sustainable management of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste.
