Registrations are now open for the Advanced Training course in Hospitality Management of the ITS Fondazione Archimede at the Syracuse and Ragusa offices.

The director of the Foundation, Giovanni Dimauro, highlights the importance of “new skills” in a sector, such as tourism, which on a global level suffers more than others from the current health emergency. «The sector contributes in a decisive way to the economic trend of our country with its own cultural, artistic, landscape and food and wine heritage. To restart the Italian economy it is therefore necessary to relaunch the tourism hospitality sector at a time when, moreover, digital technologies have also transformed tourism, revolutionizing businesses, products and destinations ».

«The sector is therefore constantly evolving and the demand for highly specialized professionals is proof of this. We face the problem on a daily basis with our partner companies, the most representative trade associations and the stakeholders of the territory “continues Giovanni Dimauro” and the training proposal of the Archimede Foundation was created precisely to meet these needs and to eliminate the mismatch between supply and demand for work training the professional figures that are required today by companies in the sector. Our teachers come from the companies that collaborate with the Foundation, which host our students in highly qualifying company internships and who invest in human capital to be able to take advantage, at the end of the training course, of professionals ready to enter the tourism sector immediately. “.

The data processed by the Ministry of Education and recently published in the press tell of the success of ITS students who, on a national basis, find almost full employment at the end of the course: 80% placement, higher than that of any university. And the success is given precisely by the close correlation between the Foundation and the companies and by the consistency between study plans, profiles to be trained and market demands.

And it is precisely the success of the Higher Technical Education System and of these institutes of excellence that has placed the ITS Foundations at the center of the political debate in recent weeks. The President of the Council of Ministers, Mario Draghi, spoke about it in the Chambers, who indicated ITS as an “educational pillar”, like what happens in other European countries such as Germany and France and as a central element in the new growth strategy of the Country. The Recovery Fund, in fact, reserves a financial dowry equal to 20 times the previous one for the ITS System.

The ITS Fondazione Archimede of Syracuse is ready to take up the challenge. “In the last three years – emphasizes Giovanni Dimauro – Archimede Foundation has implemented new actions that have led to the growth and expansion of the training offer also at the local level and has established other peripheral offices: Taormina, Noto, Ragusa and, shortly, Catania. With its training proposal, the Archimede Foundation is actively contributing to the economic development of the eastern Sicily area by involving students, businesses and local authorities ».

Registrations for Higher Education courses are still open at the Ragusa offices, where the first edition of the course in Hospitality Management will be held in partnership with the Logos employment agency, which on that of Syracuse, now in its fourth edition.

The course is limited and the minimum entry requirement is a Diploma.
