ROME (ITALPRESS) – Janssen’s free home delivery service for medicines in hospital distribution is growing and presenting itself in a new guise: Janssen at your home 2.0. The initiative, which aims to reduce access to the hospital for the withdrawal of medicines while guaranteeing the safety, respect for privacy and continuity of therapeutic-assistance for patients, is simplified by giving the latter a role even more central: it will be the patients themselves, in fact, who will contact – with the support of doctors and hospital pharmacists – the customer care of PHSE, which carries out the service, to join it. Active throughout the national territory since April last year to support doctors, pharmacists and health professionals in the management of the pandemic, the service currently involves patients from 11 Italian regions (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Puglia, Sicily) and can potentially reach 56 thousand people. During the first year of activation, the initiative ensured that the patients who used it could enjoy important benefits in terms of time saved and an improvement in the quality of life, which can be translated into 500 km not traveled on average by each patient. equivalent to 10 hours of time earned.
