Japan: industrial production -3.2% on a monthly basis, but + 9.3% on an annual basis

In August, Japan’s industrial production fell 3.2% on a monthly basis, making it worse than the expected -0.5% decline and against the previous 1.5% contraction. The figure rose by 9.3% on an annual basis, much better than the estimated + 4.3% and compared to the previous + 11.6%.
