Kazakhstan chooses SDF for agriculture 4.0

The international development of Sdf, selected as a technological partner for the development of agricultural mechanization in Kazakhstan. The Italian multinational based in Treviglio, one of the world leaders in the production of tractors, agricultural harvesting machines and diesel engines, enters the national industrialization plan set up by the Kazakh Government and the Minister of Industrial Development and Infrastructure Beibut Atamkulov.
The agreement, signed in the presence of the Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin, provides that Sdf will provide its know-how of technological innovation and the expertise developed in the production of high-power tractors and combines with the Deutz-Fahr brand, to Agromash Holding, main production center of Kazakh agricultural machinery, supporting the company in a multi-year path of localization “Made with Italy”.
Sdf, chosen from a shortlist of international candidates in the sector, affirms itself by focusing on its technological vocation, developed over time thanks to constant investments in research and development for sustainable agriculture and precision farming.

Success achieved also thanks to the consolidated international presence of the multinational from Bergamo, active with 8 production plants in Europe and Asia, 12 commercial branches and 155 importers worldwide.

The partnership, facilitated by the mediation and support work of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Rome and the Italian Embassy in Nur-Sultan, is part of the strategic path of international expansion of the group, opening the doors to one of the main economic powers of Asia central, with a strong agricultural vocation (the sector employs almost a quarter of the active population) and indicated by the FAO as one of the five states with the greatest development potential, considering that in 2020 agricultural production increased by 5.6%, exceeding the 12 billion euros, and investments in the sector grew by 15%.

SDF, 3800 employees worldwide, in 2019 the company recorded a turnover of 1,268 million euros with an Ebitda of 8.7%.
