The data shows that the DAU (Average Daily Active User) and MAU (Average Monthly Active User) of Kuaishou apps both hit record highs. In the third quarter, DAU reached 320.4 million, a year-on-year increase of 17.9% and a month-on-month growth of 9.3%. The quarter-on-quarter growth rate was the highest since the second quarter of last year. MAU reached 572.9 million, an increase of 66.7 million monthly active users in a single quarter, the largest quarterly net increase since the second quarter of 2020.

In terms of revenue, Kuaishou’s Q3 revenue reached 20.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 33.4%, which was higher than the market’s consensus expectation of 30.6%. Among them, online marketing service revenue was 10.9 billion yuan, which was the largest source of income; live broadcast revenue was 7.7 billion yuan, an increase of 7.4% from the previous month; other services achieved revenue of 1.9 billion yuan, an increase of 53% year-on-year. This increase in revenue was mainly due to e-commerce Business promotion. In the third quarter of 2021, the total amount of e-commerce transactions reached RMB 175.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 86.1%. In September 2021, the repeat purchase rate of Kuaishou e-commerce has further increased to over 70%.
