The new Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2 makes its online debut pending its presentation on the French circuit of Le Castellet, on the occasion of the second round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. Made by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the brand new racing car will be the only protagonist of the three continental series of the Lamborghini championship starting from 2022. In addition to the long list of innovations designed to guarantee the best performance on the track, the new Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2 partially anticipates design elements of the next road range. Heir to the Huracan Super Trofeo presented seven years ago at Pebble Beach, it recently reached 400 units produced, with the new Evo2 the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand aims to reach 500 units in a few years.

From an aesthetic point of view, the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2 takes the design of previous generations to the extreme, anticipating styles that will debut on the road in the coming years. The front changes radically, characterized by new high-intensity full LED headlights with a hexagonal design and an “omega” lip that connects the carbon fins and underlines the stylistic link with the Huracán Sto. Also new are the “air curtain” air intakes, which optimize air flows, keeping them adherent to the sides, and aerodynamic resistance. The rear, characterized by the wide carbon wing, combines a minimal style with a high perception of lightness. The frames of the new LED headlights are a tribute to the Countach design and are “ideally” supported by the arched carbon bumper, which connects the aerodynamic appendages behind the wheels to the redesigned fins of the diffuser.

The new car is powered by the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine with 620 horsepower of maximum power, combined with the X-Trac sequential 6-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive. News also on the braking system, designed and developed by Squadra Corse. The front steel discs go from 380 to 390 mm and the new calipers have the possibility of housing pads with a new design and a larger surface to optimize performance and consumption. The innovations also concern numerous body components, such as the sill linings and the rear aerodynamic appendages, converted from plastic materials to carbon fiber. In addition, the rear fenders are now composed of a single element, which includes part of the side spoiler, for optimal surface continuity.

The price is 305 thousand euros. Customers will have the opportunity to upgrade the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo with a dedicated kit available from early 2022.
