L’Oréal focuses on corporate welfare

L’Oréal Italia and the trade unions have signed a supplementary company contract for the three-year period 2021-2023 which is announced as very innovative, in particular in the promotion of corporate welfare: health, protection in the event of unexpected events, support for parenting and quality of work life.
These are the main innovations that will be introduced or progressively strengthened starting from 1 December:

Parenting support:
• increase to 6 weeks of paid leave for the father or second parent,
• increase to 30% of the company economic contribution in case of use of the optional parental leave
Salute: the company will take over the employee share for the Faschim category health fund
Increase in the values ​​of the Participation Bonus which could reach up to 3200 euros gross per year in 2023 in view of the achievement of the business objectives
Support for employees with elderly family members over 75 years old or not self-sufficient: granting part-time of 6 hours on request for a maximum of 3 years and flexible hours

Massimo Re, director of industrial relations at L’Oréal Italia, comments: “The contents of this new agreement rank among the best practices at national level. Initiatives such as parenting and health support further strengthen our work-life balance policies. The attention for our people and the willingness to consider industrial relations as a laboratory of social innovation have helped us to obtain these results “.
