Milan Stock Exchange cautious: Enel and Amplifon in evidence, Unicredit and other banks under fire sales

Moderately positive start for Piazza Affari. The Ftse Mib marks an increase of 0.08% in the first few minutes of trading to 25,072 points. Among the Milanese blue chips, the rises of Recordati (+ 1.43%) and STM (+ 1.27%) and Enel (+ 0.95%). In the front row Amplifon (+ 2.57%) which has signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Bay Audio, a leading hearing care operator in Australia. The cash out amounts to 550 million Australian dollars, approximately 340 million euros.

On the other hand, a minus sign for the banks: Banco BPM drops 1.8%, a drop of 1.6% for Unicredit and -1.36% for Bper. Among the other securities Leonardo (-1.2%) and Saipem (-0.9%).

Today in the foreground the words of the ECB president, Christine Lagarde, who says that the central bank could bring new indications in the next 10 days. This week the corporate earnings season officially kicks off with JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley as protagonists.
