The Moderna vaccine retains antibodies against the variants studied (including Delta, but also others such as Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Epsilon and Iota) for six months after the second dose. The American group made the announcement after the publication of new data on the duration of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in generating neutralizing antibodies against variants. “We are pleased with these new data showing that people vaccinated with two doses of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine have retained the antibodies for six months, even against disturbing variants such as the Delta variant,” commented Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel.
