The event dedicated to motorcycles in the city of Romeo and Juliet is back in January: Motor Bike Expo, despite the difficulties imposed by the pandemic in progress, opens its doors on Thursday 13 January. There will be four days in which motorcycles and motorcyclists will be the center of attention, with eight pavilions open to the public to allow for the maximum displacement of people (19 thousand per day the maximum number of visitors allowed).
Custom, first and foremost
Motor Bike Expo is traditionally linked to the world of custom. One of the novelties of the 2022 edition is the setting up, in Pavilion 1, of the Custom District, an area entirely dedicated to custom culture, characterized by the presence of particularly scenographic stands, artists, customizers and protagonists of the international scene. Among the expected names, Abnormal Cycles, Boccin Custom Cycles, Boman, Dox, Low Society, Morgese, Moto Marinelli, Niko Bikes, Pdf, Radikal Chopper. And there will also be customized cars. The presentation of 50 new specials is also planned, including five specials by Carlo Colombo of Asso Special Bikes.
The tire manufacturer Metzeler, in Hall 2, will exhibit two specials: the Naskar Project 02, built on the 2001 Harley-Davidson Softail Standard base by the synergy of Milanese CD Garage and Kustom Family, and the customized Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special which will wear the new off-road tires, the Karoo 4, available from March 2022. International guests
One of the most anticipated guests is the 30-time trial world champion Toni Bou, who on Saturday and Sunday will perform in front of the Motor Bike Expo audience in a session of jumps, evolutions and “tricks” inside the pavilion. 8. New models
Motorcycle manufacturers will also be present. Benelli will exhibit the models of the new range, with the spotlight on the highly anticipated adventure bike Trk 800, alongside the best-selling Trk 502 X. The other “spearhead” of the exhibition will be the Leoncino, in the new 800 versions, 800 Trail and 125. Ducati will present the latest models such as Desert X, Panigale V4 S, Streetfighter and Multistrada. BMW will exhibit the Heritage range, which includes the R18 cruiser and the R NineT, also previewed in customized versions by world-renowned top builders and customized by the line of accessories. Royal Enfield in Verona will present the complete range of twin-cylinder 650 Interceptor and Continental GT, as well as the new entry level Meteor and Classic 350 and the proven Himalayan 410. For the event Royal Enfield will exhibit three specials built on the 350 platform, including bobber and flat track . Yamaha will be the protagonist in Hall 6 dedicated to the world of racing.
