Musk expected to reiterate his intention to buy Twitter at Thursday’s all-hands meeting – WSJ

Elon Musk is expected to reiterate his desire to own the social media company in a conversation with Twitter (TWTR) employees on Thursday, according to a person familiar with the matter.

During an online meeting of all Twitter employees Thursday morning, Musk will spend about an hour answering pre-submitted employee questions, the person said. In addition to reiterating his interest in owning Twitter and giving his views on Twitter’s global importance, Musk may also clarify his recent remarks about remote work and touch on specifics of his Twitter strategy, such as The role of advertising and subscriptions. Musk is the CEO of Tesla Inc. (TSLA) and a billionaire himself.

Twitter shares rose about 5 percent in after-hours trading after The Wall Street Journal reported on Musk’s expected remarks.
