On July 26th, Tesla CEO Elon Musk hinted in a recent Twitter interaction with fans that the company’s latest test version of the assisted driving system FSD Beta 9 has only been used in a few weeks. The selected car owners are tested, but they are ready to update this version of the software this Friday.

In response to Tesla Model 3 owners who recently experienced FSD Beta 9, Musk said that this latest version of the driver assistance system update will be launched at midnight this Friday. However, Musk did not provide details of the upcoming FSD Beta “V9.1” update, although he said there will be “several improvements.”

Musk’s recent tweet bodes well for the FSD Beta project, because it hints that the system may return to regular update mode again. Since the FSD Beta was first launched at the end of last year, the system has been updated regularly, but these updates stopped after Tesla decided to change its fully automatic driving method by removing the radar.

Tesla this month released FSD Beta 9, which is the first advanced driver-assisted driving package using “Tesla Vision”. The software update of the FSD Beta project has finally resumed. Considering that V9.1 seems to be released before the end of this month, it seems that Tesla’s software update for FSD Beta has returned to the regular cycle. This will allow Tesla to complete the FSD Beta faster, and may even pave the way for the wider release of advanced driver assistance systems.

This month, with the release of FSD Beta 9 by Tesla, the first iteration of the driver-assisted driving suite using “Tesla Vision”, the software update for the FSD Beta program has dried up. Considering that FSD Beta V9.1 will be released before the end of the month, Tesla’s software update for FSD Beta will return to the normal cycle. This should allow Tesla to improve FSD Beta faster, and may even pave the way for a wider release.

Several FSD Beta 9 test car owners said that Tesla’s “pure vision” method makes the FSD kit more accurate than the previous version, which still uses camera and radar data. According to reports, weird incidents such as Phantom brakes have also been reduced. Of course, this does not mean that FSD Beta 9 is perfect, but according to testers’ feedback, Tesla’s pure visual approach seems to be a decisive step towards autonomous driving.
