Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that after discovering that many of his employees have Dogecoin, he became a supporter of this cryptocurrency.Musk said this in response to a tweet by “Dogecoin millionaire” Glauber Contessoto. Contessoto cited a recent article that claimed that one-third of U.S. cryptocurrency holders own Dogecoin.
Musk said: “I have talked to many people who work on the Tesla production line or build rockets at SpaceX. They all have Dogecoin.” He emphasized that these people are “not financial experts or Silicon Valley technologists.” The employee’s support for Dogecoin made him feel that it is “the people’s cryptocurrency”, which is why he decided to support this digital currency.
In another tweet, Musk also revealed that he does not hold any Shiba Inu or any cryptocurrency named after his pet dog Floki. Instead, he said that he only holds Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin.
