For the development of the entire automobile industry, the shortage of chips has become an important constraint. When can this situation be improved? Since 5G was officially commercialized, my country has built the world‘s largest 5G network. As of August, a total of 1.037 million 5G base stations have been built, and tens of thousands of 5G application innovation cases have been created. Zhao Zhiguo, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and director of the Information and Communications Administration Bureau, said that the 5G industry is accelerating its development. Zhao Zhiguo said: “Chinese companies have declared that the number of 5G standard essential patents, domestic brand 5G system equipment shipments, chip design capabilities and other aspects are leading the world. The penetration of 5G mobile phone products has accelerated. From January to August this year, domestic 5G mobile phones will be shipped. The volume reached 168 million units, an increase of 80% year-on-year. Especially in August, the proportion of 5G mobile phones has risen to 74%.”
In July this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched a six-month special rectification action for the Internet industry, and blocking URL links is one of the key rectification issues.
