The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced the results of the syndicated issue of a new 50-year BTP benchmark and the reopening of the 7-year BTP with maturity on March 15, 2028.

As regards the new 50-year benchmark, the bond matures on March 1, 2072, dividend rights on April 14, 2021 and an annual rate of 2.15%, paid in two half-yearly coupons. The amount issued was 5 billion euros. The bond was placed at a price of 99.467, corresponding to an annual gross yield at issue of 2.179%.

As regards the reopening of the current 7-year benchmark BTP with maturity on March 15, 2028 and coupon 0.25%, the amount issued was equal to 7 billion euros. The share was placed at the price of 99.238 corresponding to a gross yield of 0.362%.

The settlement of the transactions is set for April 14th. The placement was carried out through a syndicate, made up of five lead managers, Barclays, BofA, JP Morgan, Société Générale and UniCredit.
