Nissan: May sales in China fell 38% to 68,844 units

Introduction

Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd.’s (DFL) passenger vehicle segment, which includes Nissan, Venucia and Infiniti brands, sold 55,924 units. The light commercial vehicle segment, which includes Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Nissan, sold 12,920 units.

On June 7, Nissan Motor China released its sales results for May 2022. In May, Nissan’s sales in China, including the passenger car and light commercial vehicle segments, were 68,844 units, down 38% year-on-year. Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd.’s (DFL) passenger vehicle segment, which includes Nissan, Venucia and Infiniti brands, sold 55,924 units. The light commercial vehicle segment, which includes Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Nissan, sold 12,920 units.

On May 13, Nissan announced its financial report for fiscal year 2021 (that is, from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022). Data show that during the reporting period, Nissan achieved consolidated net income of 8.42 trillion yen, operating profit of 247.3 billion yen, operating profit margin of 2.9%, and net income of 215.5 billion yen.
