The company successfully joined hands with the world’s top 500 South Korean LG Chem and Pohang Iron and Steel Group to extend the industrial chain to the downstream lithium battery materials field, and thus enter the core supply chain of world-renowned new energy car companies, and is committed to developing resources from cobalt and nickel. The integrated industrial chain from non-ferrous smelting to new energy lithium battery materials has achieved another leap forward for the company.
Wang Jian said that Huayou has grown into a leader in the global cobalt industry and even an influential head company in the new energy lithium battery materials industry in just over 10 years. Looking back on the development history of Huayou, what we have shown us is the valuable spirit of Huayou people of “constantly improving and pursuing excellence”. Just a few days ago, the first batch of nickel and cobalt hydroxide products of the Huayue Nickel-Cobalt Hydrometallurgical Project successfully rolled off the production line. The project construction was completed and entered a new stage from trial production to full production. This is also the largest monomer in the world. The laterite nickel hydrometallurgy project will provide a more solid guarantee for Huayou to build an integrated industrial chain of new energy lithium battery materials.
Chen Xuehua, chairman of Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Industry Co., Ltd., said that in the first year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”, Huayou issued a call for “10 years of tasks, five years to complete”.
