The pandemic has hit the agricultural and tourist sectors hard, even in the Acquese and Ovadese hills. In the days when the fourth wave of Covid has come to disrupt the holiday plans, Gal Borba announces the reopening of two calls (for a total of 725 thousand euros) with the aim of giving the sector new opportunities for development. One is aimed at supporting integrated supply chain projects, the other at starting entrepreneurial activities related to rural and outdoor tourism.

“We hope that companies will be able to seize the opportunity offered by these interventions, we are satisfied with the speed with which the Region has authorized their reopening” says Gianmarco Bisio, president of Gal Borba. The Local Action Group is a body that brings together public and private partners to offer development opportunities to rural areas. The Borba, straddling the mountainous area of ā€‹ā€‹Acqui and that of Ovada, extends over 993 square kilometers, between 58 municipalities and with 50,000 inhabitants.

“We have decided to support the local rural economy, severely damaged by the health emergency, by reopening some funding calls for the benefit of the commercial, agritourism and tourist accommodation sector, which is the most affected by the restrictions linked to the pandemic” they say. from the Ponzone site. The call for proposals on “Integrated supply chain projects” is reserved simultaneously and jointly to several subjects, each of whom must carry out an intervention in their company not only for direct interest, but to promote the competitiveness of the supply chain as a whole.
