1. U.S. stocks

The three major US stock indexes closed down. The Dow fell 0.72% to 34,496.06 points; the Nasdaq fell 0.64% to 14,486.20 points; the S&P 500 index fell 0.69% to 4,361.19 points. Bank stocks fell across the board. JPMorgan Chase fell 2.07%, Goldman Sachs fell 1.89%, Morgan Stanley fell 2.83%, and Bank of America fell 1.31%. Most energy stocks fell, Exxon Mobil fell 1.09%, Chevron fell 0.81%, Schlumberger rose 2.43%. Large technology stocks fell across the board, Apple fell 0.06%, Amazon fell 1.29%, Netflix fell 0.89%, Google fell 0.62%, Facebook fell 1.39%, and Microsoft fell 0.21%. Most popular Chinese concept stocks rose by nearly 20% in Gaotu, more than 6% in Douyu, nearly 6% in Shell, and nearly 5% in New Oriental.

2. European stocks

The major European stock indexes closed mixed. The German DAX30 index fell 0.05% to 15199.14 points, the French CAC40 index rose 0.16% to 6570.54 points, and the UK FTSE 100 index rose 0.72% to 7146.85 points.

3.Gold

The most active December gold futures price on the New York Mercantile Exchange gold futures market fell 1.7 US dollars on the 11th from the previous trading day to close at 1755.7 US dollars per ounce, a decrease of 0.1%.

4. Petroleum

WTI November crude oil futures closed up 1.17 US dollars, or 1.47%, to 80.52 US dollars per barrel. Brent’s December crude oil futures closed up 1.26 US dollars, or 1.53%, to 83.65 US dollars per barrel.
