A signature to put the Far West of logistics behind us. After the pickets and tensions, protests and strikes, Amazon and the unions sign a protocol that opens the doors of the e-commerce giant’s warehouses to acronyms. An agreement signed under the pressure of Minister Andrea Orlando that Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uil Trasporti define “historic”, the first in Europe.

The text provides for periodic meetings on the issues and “punctual” checks on the application of the collective agreement. Despite the distinction of roles, in the document the parties affirm that “industrial relations represent a value in themselves” and undertake to comply with the rules of the National Collective Labor Agreement for Logistics, Freight Transport and Shipping. On the agenda, there is also a series of preventive comparisons on business development and investment strategies in local areas; verification of continuing professional training opportunities for employees in individual sectors, using all possible elements of economic and regulatory support, also through the reference employer association (Conftrasporto); the identification of the most suitable tools for monitoring employment trends, with the aim of “promoting growth paths”.

The agreement comes on the eve of the Career Day of the group which aims to hire 200 people indefinitely in the corporate division of the Italian company.
