Inps, in the first six months of 2021, paid a total of 389,924 new pensions with an average amount of 1,155 euros. Early retirement pensions with respect to old age were 124,139 for an average amount of 1,928 euros. Old-age pensions paid were 126,853 for an average amount of 818 euros, those of social security disability were 19,065 for 791 euros on average while those paid to survivors were 119,867 for 773 euros on average. In the whole of 2020, 856,004 pensions were paid for an average of 1,243 euros.
At the same time, in the first six months of 2021, INPS collected 99,392 million in contributions, an increase of 7,379 million euros (+ 8.02%) compared to the same period last year. In this way, most of the contributions lost during 2020 have been recovered. The amount of contributions collected is still 2.22% lower than in the same period of 2019.
