[New Tang Dynasty Beijing time August 31, 2021]Bloomberg in the United States quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that Chinaā€™s Alibaba Group fired ten employees because they disclosed the sexual assault of a former manager by a female colleague. Allegations.

It is reported that the ten employees previously took screenshots of the complaint article of the female colleague on the company’s internal webpage, and removed the watermark with their personally identifiable information, and released it to the public.

Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that these employees were fired because they violated the regulations prohibiting the disclosure of employee forum content. But after Alibaba made an investigation and decided to dismiss these ten employees, it did not announce the final results of the investigation to the public.

The report said that three other people were criticized for posting “improper comments” on public forums.

As of now, Alibaba has not commented on the above report.

Alibaba’s sexual assault occurred in early August. On Alibaba’s internal webpage, a female employee published an 11-page complaint, accusing her of being forced to accompany her on an official business trip to Jinan, Shandong Province on July 27. She was drunk and then her manager and a client sexually assaulted her.

But the female employee complained to Alibaba Group within five days that her superiors and human resources department did not take the matter seriously.

After the incident was exposed, it aroused strong attention from the outside world. Alibaba Group responded on August 9, stating that the accused employees will be dismissed, and the relevant senior management personnel have also resigned or given internal sanctions.
