Peugeot 3008: the SUV of the Lion celebrates one million units produced

by admin

A phenomenal success. The latest generation Peugeot 3008 SUV has already passed the one million unit mark. Made in Europe and China, it began to enjoy critical acclaim even before it was launched on the markets, winning a total of seventy-six awards around the world, including the prestigious Car of the Year in 2017.

A success in Europe and beyond

In Italy, over the years the Peugeot 3008 has been chosen by 120 thousand customers and is today the second best-selling SUV in its segment in our country. In Europe, it occupies the second place in the high-wheeled models market in 2021 and, in addition to Italy, also occupies top positions in other markets such as Portugal (where it is the best-selling SUV) and Spain (second place).

Europe accounts for 65% of the model’s sales and its main extra-European markets are Turkey, Israel, Japan and Egypt.

The one million unit rolled off the production line of the Sochaux (France) plant and is equipped with hybrid technology.

The most requested features

Over 80% of sales are made up of versions with automatic transmission, and around 38% from higher trim levels, which perfectly reaffirms the growth of the brand’s positioning of the French Lion within the market.
