Piaggio, revenues up 50% compared to 2020 and 12.5% ​​on pre-Covid

Piaggio’s consolidated revenues in the first six months of 2021 reach 901.7 million euros, the highest figure recorded in the period since 2007, up 50.3% (+54.3% at constant exchange rates) (600, 1 € / mln in the first half of 2020), and 10.4% compared to the first half of 2019. The results emerged from a note released by the group.

A positive evolution that led to a consolidated EBITDA of 144.6 million euros, also the best result reported in the first half since 2007, with a sharp increase of 74% compared to the 83.1 million euros recorded at 30 June 2020. The EBITDA margin is 16% (13.8% as at 30 June 2020).

Roberto Colaninno, Chairman and CEO of Piaggio: “The Group closed the first half of 2021 with very positive results globally, confirming the strong recovery that began in the second half of last year. All the main income statement indicators increased. The market appreciation for our new products, at the forefront of technology, design and Made in Italy style, is the demonstration of the validity of the path taken. Although the Covid pandemic risk is still high at a global level, the conditions exist for the Group to consolidate the positive trend over time. “
